The Hollywood Entertainment District is a Business Improvement District that stretches along the world-famous Walk of Fame down 18-blocks of historic Hollywood Boulevard, from the La Brea Gateway to the corner of Hollywood & Vine, and beyond. Many of Hollywood's most famous landmarks are located in the HED - the epicenter of the entertainment capital of the world and birthplace of the movie industry.

HED Renewed for 10 Years... On Sept. 3, Los Angeles City Council announced the renewal of the Hollywood Entertainment District for a ten-year period, beginning Jan. 1, 2009. The ballot tabulation resulted in an estimated 91 percent affirmative vote for the renewal of the BID. The new BID will be a ten-year, $3.4 million BID. The boundaries of the district will expand, further expanding the scope of Hollywood's renaissance. HED Renewed For 10 Years

Hail-A-Taxi Pilot Program... You can now do as the New Yorkers do and hail a cab in Hollywood! Our very own Kerry Morrison joined Councilmembers Perry and Greuel to celebrate the official kick-start of the six-month pilot program during a July 31 press conference. The new program allows taxi drivers to load and unload passengers in some otherwise restricted curbside areas of Hollywood and Downtown, bus zones aside.
